This is my now page, containing information about what I'm doing right now!
I'm getting started with Obsidian. So, the reason I'm revising the blog right now is because I'm transitioning personal notes/knowledge/etc data storage from Dynalist to Obsidian. I'm still going to be using Dynalist for collaboration (particularly The Grocery List), but getting as much as I can into Obsidian going forward is the goal.
E-bike as a primary transportation device is going well! Most of our misc groceries are transported via e-bike, and other errands happen too. It's quite liberating to be able to just Go Places without walking, etc. I live in a city that puts a lot of focus on bike infrastructure, which does help a lot. Turns out that rolling past dozens and dozens of stopped, idling cars at 15 mph is kinda delightful.
I have a new sweetie down in the tri-state area! We met one Thursday in February. I went to my favorite local coffee shop, and the only available counter seat was next to this exquisitely queer tattooed creature I'd never seen before. I asked if I could sit there, they said yes, we introduced ourselves, and then the barista came over and said "oh hey, did I ever mention I have a boifriend?" Mischief and polyamory ensued. Amtrak sure is expensive, huh.
Looking for some sort of employment is quite a process. I'm working with MassAbility to figure out what might be a good fit for me. So far, it's not going great. My training and job history is mostly electrical/electronics/software engineering, but I haven't been able to actually do engineering since 2019 and my cognitive issues have not improved enough to get back into it. So, I'm looking into volunteering as a way to get experience and connections in human services. Buuuut I'm finding that I have a lot more "bad days" than I thought, and most of my "good days" are spent doing everything I couldn't do on "bad days."
